Serena and Mark's wedding at Danson House
Serena is one of my favourite people. Like me she is direct, lives life to the full and is always a HUGE huge laugh. I knew when she asked me to be her wedding photographer that is was going to be a laugh a minute day and that it would be beautiful… and she scrubbed up really well too!
Serena’s day began at home with her awesome family where the Prosecco and giggles began as she was made up to look like a proper princess for her big day. From there we headed to the ceremony at the gorgeous Danson house where it is always a delight to photograph thanks to the gorgeous, regal and dramatic big windows and bold wallpaper. You can see from the photos that the emotions of the day really began here. It was a pleasure to photograph the genine connection between Serena and Mark – an awesome ceremony for an awesome and down to earth couple.
From there we wandered over the road to the beautiful Rose garden for a mix of candid and more ‘coordinated’ or traditional (ish!) photos. As expected it was a giggle a minute.. but I did manage to get everyone’s attention long enough to coordinate some lovely photos. Phew! The reception was held in a local pub in Bexley that was decorated AMAZINGLY by Serena – a true DIY venue dressing…and it really did look lovely. It was an intimate, understated and fun-filled rest of the day with a Mariachi band, lots of dancing… and I’m sure I saw a few people drinking shots…? The highlight of the day for me was stopping traffic on a busy road to line everyone up for a ‘sparklers shot’ only to realise they had 1 lighter between 30 people!! What a laugh!
Best wedding! Thanks for choosing me as your wedding photographer honey! Big kiss! CJ xx
